How to write us in.
Spelling matters.
Write the candidate name exactly as printed on your ward card. The instructions below cover both the in-person touchscreen and the vote by mail or paper ballot.
At the polling place (touchscreen)
- Tap "Personal Choice" under the office you are voting for.
- Type the candidate name. Use the exact spelling on your card.
- Tap "Accept." The box turns green.
- Repeat for every office on your card.
- When you are done, print and cast your ballot.
On a vote by mail or paper ballot
- Find the office heading on the ballot, for example "Member of County Committee."
- In the "Personal Choice" line under that heading, write the candidate name. Use the spelling on your card.
- Fill in the oval (or square) to the left of the line.
- Sign the certificate envelope and mail it back, or bring it to a drop box, by the deadline.
If you make a mistake, ask a poll worker for a new ballot. Polls are open Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 6 AM to 8 PM.
The voters still have the power. Your vote still counts. Write us in.
